Mentoring for Autistic adults in Employment
Access to Work
This support is funded through “Access to Work”, a government scheme that supports people with disabilities and lifelong conditions to stay in employment. In order to access this support you will need to have gone through the “Access to Work” application process and secured funding for a workplace mentor. You can use the buttons below to look at the application page on the .gov.uk website or contact us if you need advice on your application
Workplace Mentoring
How can it help me in my current employment?

Inter/Intrapersonal Skills
A Mentor could support you with your interpersonal skills by discussing workplace interactions with you and supporting you in understanding their meaning. They can support your intrapersonal skills to help you understand your own strengths and weaknesses and how to work with them, not against them.

Understanding Reasonable Adjustments
Your Mentor can support you to understand your rights and responsibilities specific to your employment. They can liaise with your and your line manager to support with reasonable adjustments being put into place and help you understand what is and is not reasonable in your workplace.

Prioritisation & Executive Functioning
Your Mentor can work with you when you feel overwhelmed with your workload by supporting you with prioritisation skills and other coping mechanisms. If they feel you would benefit from certain software or equipment they can support you in updating your Access to Work funding to accommodate that if appropriate.
